Robert Lewandowski is already proving popular with Barcelona fans – so much so that the Nou Camp shop has run out of the letter ‘W’.
Lewandowski completed his move from Bayern Munich this week, penning a four year contract that has a release clause of £425.9million.
It is a marquee signing for Barca, despite their well-publicised debt problems, that they will hope will fire them back to trophy glory.
His 344 goals in just 375 games for the Bundesliga club saw him become one of the deadliest strikers around Europe – even as he approaches his 34th birthday next month.
Unsurprisingly, there has been a rush from Barca fans to get their hands on a new shirt with the Poland striker’s name one the back.
However, they face a little bit of a wait to get their hands on one…. as the Nike store at the Nou Camp has run out of the letter ‘W’.
In a video posted on social media, a store employee is seen explaining why the cannot print anymore Lewandowski shirts.
“We don’t have the letters ‘W’, because he has two ‘W’s’ in his name, we have run out [of stock],” he said.

The striker has joined up with his new teammates in Miami as part of Barcelona’s pre-season tour.
“I’m finally here. I’m delighted to be at Barca,” Lewandowski said.
“The last few days have been very long, but the deal is done and now I can focus on a new chapter and challenge in my life.
“I’ve always wanted to play in LaLiga and for the big clubs.
“I’m here to help Barca get back to the top and win as many titles as possible.”
