Russell Wilson has top-selling jersey in 2022 - ProFootballTalk

Tom Brady‘s hammerlock on jersey sales has been broken. Another veteran quarterback who has changed teams has taken the lead.

NFL Shop has announced the best-selling jerseys for 2022. Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has emerged in the top spot.

The remainder of the top 10 consists of all but two quarterbacks: (2) Bills quarterback Josh Allen; (3) Raiders receiver Davante Adams; (4) Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett; (5) Brady; (6) Patriots quarterback Mac Jones; (7) Rams receiver Cooper Kupp; (8) Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert; (9) Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes; and (10) Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

It’s surprising that Pickett, who likely won’t be the Week One starter in Pittsburgh, landed higher on the list than Brady. Brady’s 40-day retirement probably cost him more than a few sales.

It’s also surprising that Burrow is so low; he’s currently one of the most-hyped, most-liked young players in the league.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott didn’t make the list at all. That’s a stunner. And there were no running backs to be seen.

Also, Matt Ryan jumped from the Falcons to the Colts, but that wasn’t enough to crack the list. Ditto for Deshaun Watson; Cleveland’s rabid fan base obviously has taken a wait-and-see approach when it comes to the question of whether No. 4 will be on the field in 2022.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, an MVP only three years ago, also missed the cut — as did new Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill.

There’s a good chance, frankly, something will be said about Hill not making the list despite Adams landing at No. 3 on the next episode of It Needed To Be Said.

If you still don’t have an Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady jersey, what are you doing?

Whaaat?! You mean to tell me Mariota jerseys aren’t flying off the shelves in ATL? I find that hard to believe!

No disrespect. Kenny Picket? Who?

Gonna be a lot of disgruntled Bronco Wilson jersey owners this time next year. The train wreck will be enjoyable.

People would rather spend their money on a team they root for.

Grown men wearing other grown mens jerseys. Doesn’t sit right

I was going to buy one.

Grown men wearing other grown mens jerseys. Doesn’t sit right //// I somewhat agree. However, since I’m a bit older, we didn’t really wear jerseys of players when I was younger. It just wasn’t a thing back then. So I didn’t have any until about 20 years ago. I don’t feel right wearing a jersey of a player younger than me… just seems odd. I have 3 now, but all retired guys. While I’m grown… they’re more grown than me. But if my team ever wins the bowl, I’m getting one of whoever the starting QB is.

Grown men wearing other grown mens jerseys. Doesn’t sit right ==========

But you have no problem telling another grown man how he should spend his $$………

Come January, Russell will also lead the league with the most jerseys burned.

Those jerseys are selling like fire right now because they’re going to soon be rare collectors items Having a Russell Wilson Broncos jersey will be the only proof that he played for them It will be like a Joe Namath Rams jersey. Or a Johnny Unitas Chargers jersey.

One year from now, the thrift stores will be full of Wilson jerseys.

I’m going to specialize my Wilson jersey with the name Carlton Banks on the back of it.

Agreed…..but hey, grown men spending hours a day playing video games doesn’t sit right we need either

Walmart must be selling them cheaply.

The Tebow Jaguars jersey is now the top NFL jersey in Honduras and over in Africa 🙂

Cmon, us Broncos fans have been desperate for a QB since Peyton retired. Does anyone blame us purchasing Wilson’s jersey?

Bronco fans will buy anything.

Band wagon Bronco fan is back

I didn’t make the list? Who’s MVP am I? The writers, but not the NFL fans for sure.

Would rather have a vintage looking #2 Cookie Gilchrist Broncos jersey from 1965 … Do it Mitchell+Ness

When I see Kenny Pickett I see Joe Burrow😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Yeah jersey wearing is a funny thing.

When the Chargers left San Diego all of the sudden all the homeless guys were wearing Charger jerseys.

With the exception of Josh Allen, everyone in the top half is new to their team. Mac Jones at 6? Not bad for a young guy predicted to have a low ceiling… But I am unmoved over Jersey sales. I need hardware. It’s been too long. It’s time for…..The Big Mac Attack!

Ya, but it’s a small jersey to begin with.

Never been a jersey guy but if I was to wear one it would be a retro from the team I root for. Like a Sonny Jurgenson or Charlie Taylor jersey. Someone I knew who spent most of there career with the team I rooted for. HTTR
