Hector Bellerin has sent a message on Twitter after leaving Arsenal.
The Spain international had his contract in North London terminated earlier this week in a development which allowed him to join Barcelona on a free transfer.
Bellerin originally left the Camp Nou outfit to join Arsenal as a teenager.
However, it’s been clear for some time that Mikel Arteta hasn’t rated the 27-year-old all that highly, evident by his loan to Real Betis for the entire 2021-22 campaign.
Here’s what the player posted on Twitter:

Bellerin seemingly had the option to join a number of clubs after Arsenal released him.
The CEO of Sassuolo in Italy revealed that he also tried to lure the former Gunners right-back to Serie A but, really, the Catalan giants were always going to win.
Even if Barcelona weren’t a club close to the player’s heart, this is an enormous football institution and one who would appeal to virtually any player, controversial finances aside.
It would be lovely to see Bellerin rekindle his career.
Once upon a time he was such a massive prospect at Arsenal, but his stock has fallen quite a lot since Arsene Wenger – who signed him – left the Emirates Stadium in 2018.
That being said, he’s still only 27 and entering into the prime years of his career and hopefully for his sake and Barca’s, he can remind everyone why Wenger thought so highly of him.
